'Drawing and painting has always been an integral part of my life, a way of visualising and creating thoughts, ideas and emotions' explains Stephen Kingston. 'In the past I have worked on murals, often in public spaces, where they have relevance to the space and people that visit. Aspects of everyday life are a constant inspiration to me which are reflected in both my figurative and abstract work. Recently , I have been concentrating on larger works pursuing more abstract ideas, experimenting with painting on steel and aluminum. The exhibition of my work at Oriel Môn will realise my figurative as well as my abstract work and offer a wide variety of subjects in all their forms and colours'.
