Formed in 1990 to house the Charles Tunnicliffe collection, Oriel Môn is an art gallery and museum at the heart of Anglesey.
Oriel Môn changes lives by caring for, interpreting and promoting Anglesey’s unique heritage and culture. It seeks to inspire creativity, and to provide learning opportunities and enjoyment for everyone.
Oriel Mon is now managed by Isle of Anglesey Council and relies on support from the Isle of Anglesey Charitable Trust and the Oriel Môn Trust.
Income from sales of art, shop sales, donations and venue hire help support our educational, community engagement, conservation and artistic programmes.

The Tunnicliffe Room
This room is dedicated to Charles Tunnicliffe RA (1901-1979), Britain’s foremost twentieth century wildlife artist.
He moved to Malltraeth, Anglesey in 1947, where he continued to draw, paint, print and illustrate books. He produced engravings for novels such as Tarka the Otter by Henry Williamson.
Following his death, a large collection of his work was bought at auction by Isle of Anglesey County Council and Oriel Môn was established.
