While drawing the landscape around my home in Borth I have been exploring different media, such as charcoal, graphite and ink. Drawing en plain air, then reworking the image onto a printing block and overlaying this with expressive swathes of printing ink challenges and develops my creative process. I feel that the concentration and physical aspect of drawing demand total commitment. By striving to capture this initial drawing energy in my print images I attempt to include, not only the chosen view, but also the atmosphere of the moment.
