Originally from Pentraeth, Ynys Môn, Liz McQueen is a Landscape Artist now based in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.

It is the landscape that immediately surrounds her home in Eskdalemuir, that inspires her to paint and draw. Compositions develop out of a combination of thumbnail sketches in graphite and watercolour when out walking, photos and memory – often referencing features that remind her of Wales. These responses inform the textures, shapes and colours of her work.
