Lisa is an artist living and working in North Wales. Working predominantly with painting and drawing, she is primarily concerned with abstraction. Painting for her allows the collision of events, thoughts and experiences into something transformed.

Interested in the duality of things, abstraction and representation, painting and drawing, exterior and interior, the seen and the felt, gesture and restraint, her work often evoke figures shifting through thresholds or dynamic processes in nature, settings where movement or an action is imminent.

‘Deliberately placing myself in an uncertain position when working, the associativity of painted and drawn marks trigger my imagination. It is the adventurousness of the process that inspires me’.
