These drawings use the two squashed toads I picked up off the road and the disemboweled frog I found on a gatepost. When I laid them out their frozen attitudes suggested a dance and pen and ink seemed an appropriate medium. I used mixed media on the large drawing ‘on the Line’ aiming for the effect of the creature dissolving into the road surface. The ‘Dancing Men’ drawing is a more imaginative work, referring chaos and influenced by 19^th century etchings.
