Cheryl Crichton-Edwards

Biography

Born in the West Midlands and now living in North Wales, I studied Experimental Media at the Slade School of Art.

My current work uses charcoal, artgraff and ink to respond to the landscape, light and weather of my immediate environment. Part of my current series of work ‘Un Milltir Sgwâr - One Square Mile’, working from direct observation of the landscape beyond the studio window, ‘Witness I’ is a direct and expressive response to the changing light, colours and weather brought about by the darkening days of late autumn, the changing climate and a deepening horror at recent events.
