Biography
I produce industrial interpretations of the human figure using a Modernist-inspired aesthetic.
‘Form’ fascinates me: how light strikes the planes of a form, casts shadows & creates negative shapes, and how movement around the form changes our perception of these.
I am also intrigued by how we use peripheral vision and memory to understand forms and build up a mental picture of ‘what’ things are & ‘where’ they are.
The human figure is my primary motif as it offers the perfect ‘armature’ for my experiments because it can cope with simplification & distortion without becoming totally unrecognizable.
