The ongoing theme behind my work is the recreation of memories and nostalgia. I romanticize moments between friends, family and partners and depict this in my paintings. I use a mix of patterns and landscapes to draw viewers into the image and encompass the figures within the work. I often abstract the image to emulate how memories become a wash of layers in our minds. Although my paintings and drawings depict my own memories, I believe that memories are universal. I hope to trigger a sense of nostalgia in people and trigger memories and feelings that we share as a society.
